Dept. Round-up: Aug. 23, 2019

  • It is a sad day in the office as we say goodbye to Gina (above). Gina has been an incredible addition to the team over the last few years, and we are sad to see her go. But, we are excited to follow her bike/train journey across the country as she heads back to her home state, California.
  • We try our best to be super eco-friendly in our office, but we aren’t always perfect. Luckily, Poland Springs and The Recycling Partnership have come together to answer the age-old question, “Can I recycle this?”
  • We love this refreshing twitter feed that shows an uncommon side of Victorian-era portraiture — people goofing off and smiling.
  • If you didn’t know, we are huge Beyoncé fans. We couldn’t be happier to hear that a Beyoncé portrait was acquired by The Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery. 🐝🐝
  • We love Levar Burton and we love books, but we don’t always have time to read — why not let Levar Burton read TO YOU. Enjoy the first episode of season 5. It’s an interesting and beautiful sci-fi story about new perspectives and connections that revolves around…math?
  • Need some help getting through that end of the week slump? Give this Leslie Knope Energy playlist a listen. It is amazing and truly inspires the energy of Leslie Knope within you.
